MOORE PARK RESIDENCE
STATUS: Under Construction
This infill house in Toronto’s mid-town residential neighborhood of Moore Park represents the first tear down replacement on an established street of common-model, 1924, mutual drive, single-family homes.
The design embraces the iconic house-like forms of the street and reinforces the setbacks, materials and relationship with grade, but clearly puts forward a contemporary example of home.
The house employs a complex figure-ground relationship of mass-to-void. It is both structured and animated by interconnecting void spaces.
